Variation in color and texture is part of what makes handmade tile beautiful and should be expected. This glaze has high levels of variation in color and amount of crackle.
The color and texture in photos is approximate - We highly recommend ordering samples for the most accurate representation of our product.
This glaze will continue to develop cracks over time (a natural process called crazing) and is not suitable for installation in extremely wet areas. Recommended for indoor wall/backsplashes only. None of our glazes are rated for outdoor or floor usag
Julep Crackle is an earthy green crackle and a favorite among clients.
With the highest level of variation of all our glazes, Julep Crackle can lean slightly more blue or more green depending on the batch. You may also notice that some batches are slightly darker or lighter than others. With that said, this glaze tends to be pretty consistent within a batch (i.e. the color of the tiles any given order should be fairly consistent). You can find more information about our crackle glazes here.
