Design Crush: Black & White Handmade Tile
Dec 13th 2017
Can we take a minute to talk about how much we love black and white tile? Depending on how it’s used, it can make a bold statement or be classic and timeless.

An example of this is our Two-Color Hiser in Slate Gray and Black Watercolor as seen above. Wouldn’t that make a great accent wall behind a bathroom vanity?
For less contrast, consider using a dark gray tile like our Damask in Steel Gray below instead of black. Paired with a white subway tile, it’s a little more subtle than true black and white tile.

Rather go all white? This Scallop pattern below (also known as fish scale tile) is a nice alternative to the traditional white subway tile. It’s shown in three shades of white, each with a different finish. This adds another subtle, unique touch to your kitchen or bathroom.

One of our favorites is this next colorway featuring our Two-Color Hiser pattern in our bestselling Steel Gray and Glossy White. Wouldn’t this be fun in a decorative border in a shower surround? Or, it could make a great focal point in a niche over a kitchen range.

Another white on white option is this elegant two-tone Gate pattern below. The satin finish on the diamond shape contrasts nicely with the glossy accents.
