When purchasing handmade tile from us, please make note of the following. Questions? Call us, we're happy to help.



All material is handmade to order. Our lead times are a best estimate on production time, not taking transit time into consideration. Although we do our very best to complete the order within the time range provided, purchaser understands that Julep Tile Company is not guaranteeing the order will be completed on that date.


Variations in color and size are part of what makes handmade tile beautiful and should be expected. Purchaser accepts that variations exist.

Purchaser understands that glazes from our Watercolor and Crackle collections (glazes with codes beginning in CL & CR, including Cream) tend to have higher than normal levels of color variation. These glazes also may craze over time and are not advised for extremely wet areas. Crazing is a natural process in which small cracks develop in the glaze surface.

We highly recommend unpacking and inspecting your tile immediately upon delivery. Any breakages in transit must be reported within 5 business days. It shall be the responsibility of the installer to inspect tile prior to installation as no adjustments whatsoever will be made for defects after installation. On any claim for defects, seller must be notified of the defects no later than 30 days after receipt of the tile by buyer.


We want to make sure your installation goes as smoothly as possible. We highly recommend adding a minimum of 10-15% overage to your tile order to ensure every part of your installation is covered. Any tile that’s left over can be saved for minor repairs down the road or contribute to other home projects.


While we will do our best to color match, ordering extra tile after you have already received your order is not guaranteed to match the color/size of the original order. When possible, we try to give add-on orders priority but they are subject to the current lead time.


Our tile is custom made to order and all sales are final.
