3 Unique Tile Ideas For Your Bathroom Remodel

Mar 1st 2019

Looking for fresh tile design ideas for your bathroom remodel? Whether it's your master bath or a small powder room, tile can make a big impact in how the room feels. And let's be honest, many of us spend a good amount of time getting ready in the bathroom every day - shouldn't it be a space you LOVE? A space that feels as special and unique as you are? Our reply is a resounding "HECK YES". With that in mind, here are some fun, new ways to use tile when planning your own dream bathroom:

1. Get Creative With Your Shower Niche

A shower niche is a smart idea for a few reasons. For practical purposes, it's a handy spot right within arm's reach to keep soap and shampoo bottles.

And for design purposes, it's the perfect place to add pop of color or fun patterned tile to your shower surround. We love how this client mixed a single pattern in different glaze colors to create a pattern in the shower niches.

2. Dress Up Your Subway Tile

In our humble tile opinion, subway tile with always be a timeless, classic look. However, if you love subway tile but at the same time you're a little tired of it, why not try adding some trim? For example, here's our Handmade Subway Tile with Pearl Liner Trim

For a budget-friendly version of this, you could run just a few lines of Pearl Liner Trim around your shower surround, or consider mixing it with another manufacturer's subway tile. Or, instead of using it for your entire shower surround, perhaps install it in one area as a tile accent wall. Which brings us to our next bathroom tile design idea...

3. Try A Tile Accent Wall

A tile accent wall is a great way to add interest to your bathroom. Perhaps you want a beautiful backdrop behind your clawfoot tub, or something pretty on the wall behind your bathroom vanity.

Here we used our Two-Color Bloom tile as an accent wall in the world's tiniest powder room (seriously, it's itty bitty.) While not a huge space, this accent wall makes a big, elegant statement.
